What is ChatGPT?

So far, we know that ChatGPT is a helpful AI that can write pretty much anything, create images, music, conduct research and answers our questions. Now whether it is any good or not is another matter, but we'll explore that later. For now, let's just work out exactly what ChatGPT is.

Okay. So, it can talk to us in a relatively human like manner using the info from the internet.

I hope it will be a better AI than those ones that run the automated 'chat with us' page. If it's a simple question they can usually direct you to the right page, but it gives nothing I couldn't find out by myself using nothing but a little bit of common sense. Generally, I don't find them much help at all.

That sounds complicated.

Ohhh, it bilingual as well! (Hopefully it can do better than google translate). Nice to know it can brainstorm as well - I might do a post about that.

While it does say answers may be incorrect or nonsensical, I also find that Wikipedia is a valuable source of information when you want a quick and easy explanation, you can also find incorrect and nonsensical facts on there. People can also give wrong answers.

So, I suppose, like everything in this world take ChatGPT's answers as a good starting point, not the law. Do your own research and make your own judgements before jumping to any conclusions.

I think that answers the question on 'what is Chat GPT'. In summary, ChatGPT is a very, very smart AI who is not always correct but seems like it can help out more than any AI predecessor.
